Driving Directions:

  1. From North or South on I-49 take the Butler/Amoret/West 52 Exit
  2. Turn East off of the ramp onto W. Fort Scott Street
  3. Take the 3rd Left (north) onto Sunset Dr.
  4. At the “T” turn right (east) onto W. Mill Street
  5. Take the 1st Left (north) onto Elks Drive
  6. The Museum is on the left about 1/2 mile up Elks Drive.

Hours of Operations

April 1st through October 1st
  • Tuesdays 8:00am-11:00am
  • Wednesday – Fridays 8:00am-3pm
  • Closed Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and legal holidays
  • Other Times Available by Appointment

Due to staffing issues, it is recommended you call ahead before visiting.

Admission rates are $5 for adults, $2 for students 6-17, and children 5 and under are free. Members of the Bates County Historical Society can tour the Museum at no charge.
